The worst sex scandals in 48-Group’s history

AKB48 just celebrated its 17th anniversary in December, 2022.

However, with Nana Okada’s recent sex scandal and her shameless response openly defying the good old Love Ban, the fundamentals of AKB48 are collapsing!

Will male fans still spend their money on a girl idol, even if she kisses and sleeps with other men every night?

Let’s survey the worst scandals of 48Group throughout the years…

1st. Nana Okada (岡田奈々) & Yuiri Murayama (村山彩希), AKB48 (2022)

After the scandal broke, Okada did not want to admit that she was doing something wrong, defending herself by referring that “There is no such thing as the Love Ban in my employment contract”. Rejecting the implicit work ethics of idols will definitely cause a crisis of faith among serious idol fans.

Considering the fact that Okada pretended to be a fake character of “disciplinarian” who was pro-love-ban, and she was the harshest critic of Suto Ririka during 2017’s AKB Sousenkyo, her so-called “love for AKB48” was just a deceitful strategy to attract more naive fans.

She exploited all the benefits under the shiny brand name of “AKB48”, without caring what AKB she could leave behind — An rotten idol group in which everybody could potentially date someone and there is zero consequence for sex scandals.

Mion Mukaichi (向井地美音)

As (presumably the last) Soukantoku of AKB group, Mukaichi was doing a much worse job than her two predecessors. Her response was completely from the standpoint of Okada and she cares nothing about the longterm future of AKB48. Her little group already knew Okada was dating that man but she covered it up all the way.

Instead of justifying the Love Ban like Takamina, Mukaichi openly called for the management “to clarify whether Love Ban still exists”. Maybe it’s for her own benefit as well?

2nd. Ririka Suto (須藤凜々花), NMB48 (2017)

Announcing marriage on the stage of 2017’s Sousenkyo was one of the biggest monkey business throughout AKB’s history. The job of idols is a kind of mizu-shōbai (水商売), which is not about selling valuable music but about selling “fake love”. Suto’s behavior was like openly telling her fans “the money you spent on me is for me to earn more fame and hook up with men, and you silly otaku will end up getting nothing in return”. This is even worse than a prostitute, who at least provides sex as a service to customers in return. Suto’s scandal is definitely when the downfall of AKB group begins.

3rd. Yuki Kashiwagi (柏木由紀), AKB48 (2015)

Kashiwagi was a good example of “thru (スルー)” technique, that shows us “just ignore any scandal and fans will forget sooner or later, and they will forgive me”. With such a thick face and shameless mentality, I’m sure she can still claim herself an idol even if her nude sex video is leaked, and there will be a lot of male fans still supporting her.

4th. Case of the assault on Maho Yamaguchi (山口真帆), NGT48 (2018)

While keeping eyes closed on those slutty idols who sleep with fans in private, form little groups and bully outside members, the NGT48 management did nothing to protect innocent members (like Mahohon) who abide the Love Ban rules.

If the stupid management keeps undermining the Love Ban, there could be more stalking and attempted rape by vicious fans because they might think they have a chance with their idols.

5th. Minami Minegishi (峯岸みなみ), AKB48 (2013)

Although she shaved her head to apologize for her sex scandal that became an international headline, Minegishi did not seem to reflect on her mistakes at all. Minegishi’s old Team 4 had produced more scandalous AKB48 members than any other 3 teams (including Okada & Murayama, Nishino, and Kojima Mako). What did you teach them, Minegishi?

6th. Moeka Yahagi (矢作萌夏), AKB48 (2019)

“A scandalous idol can still become AKB48’s center”. Is this idea what the management was promoting her for? Look how “good” Yahagi’s career went after leaving AKB48. Those spoiling “nice fans” who say “I love you no matter what you do as long as you’re happy” will not buy her after she left.

7th. Yui Yokoyama (横山結衣), AKB48 (2019)

Yokoyui boldly admitted that she had sex with a man at the age of 15. The leaked photos were absolutely shocking. I’m sure there are still more unleaked photos of her, but distributing those would be against the law.

8th. Rino Sashihara (指原莉乃), AKB48 (2012)

Sashihara was undoubtly the most successful idol after being exposed a sex scandal. Her success was due to her casual and fun personality as a talent. However, she has set a bad example for the younger generation of idols, who might think “I can be as successful as Sashihara if I also do something scandalous”.

9th. Scandal of 5 HKT48 girls (2012)

The scandal of 5 underage HKT48 idols sleeping with their male fans in private, suspected of drinking alcohol and engaging in group sex, was absolutely shocking to many at the time. The HKT48 management did the right thing to kick all of them out of the team.

10th. Azusa Uemura (植村梓), NMB48 (2018)

It’s not surprising if any sex scandals happen on Uemura. She’s just that kind of person. If I see a girl like her on the street, I bet I can hit on her easily and lay her down in a love hotel. She just looks like such an easy yariman who is available to any men.

11th. Marin Shobu (菖蒲まりん), NMB48 (2021)

I liked Shobu Marin and I felt she was treated unfairly after her scandal, compared to other scandalous members — Yes, she has done something wrong, but not any worse than Okada or Suto. It’s a shame that she got kicked out of NMB48 like this.

12th. Sumire Yokono (横野すみれ), NMB48 (2021)

I can’t imagine why such a charming sexy girl would go to a love hotel as cheap as 5,000 yen, and I don’t understand why she made her goddess-like body available to two men in a week – Maybe all she wanted is to have sex with as many men as possible to prove her sex appeal. (Hey Sumire, if you are available I’m available too!)

13th. Yuka Suzuki (鈴木優香), AKB48 (2021)

It was not surprising to see a sex scandal about Suzuki. All her fans knew she’s a money-worshipping bitch. But at least that’s her real character and she’s not faking it.

14th. Yuka Masuda (増田有華), AKB48 (2012)

9 years after Masuda’s sex scandal, she finally played an AV actress, showing her topless nude in the Netflix drama “The Naked Director 2”. This is what scandalous idols should follow suit if they choose to become actresses in their later career!

15th. Momona Kito (鬼頭桃菜) / Yua Mikami (三上悠亜), SKE48 (2013)

A disqualified idol who betrayed her fans deserves to be fucked in front of the camera as a redemption. Who will be the next?
